Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) announced 1,450 special trains for Dasara and Deepavali travel. Officials also confirmed they will operate another 500 services until the end of November.
SCR added extra coaches to 350 regular trains to handle passenger demand. The zone said it took these measures to ensure smooth festival travel.

Secunderabad station normally handles 1.3 lakh passengers a day. Officials projected that the number would rise to two lakh during the festival season. To meet the surge, the station staff arranged special facilities and additional counters.
Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy urged passengers to use the extra trains and coaches. He said the services would ease travel pressure and provide comfort during the festive rush.
