Hyderabad: Sixteen students from a government nursing college in Telangana’s Mahabubabad district were hospitalised on Saturday after a suspected case of food poisoning.
Officials said all affected students were taken to a nearby government hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment. Their condition is stable, according to medical staff.
The college administration has initiated an inquiry to identify the cause. Preliminary suspicion points to the presence of a toxic substance in the food served.
Following the incident, precautionary measures have been intensified on campus.
