Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries Minister and Rangareddy district in-charge Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Wednesday allotted 2,848 double-bedroom houses to beneficiaries under the Indiramma housing scheme in Maheshwaram constituency.
The houses, built in Mankhal I and II, were distributed at the Minister’s camp office. Sridhar Babu stated that the scheme was aimed at fulfilling the dream of every homeless poor family in the state.
The distribution had been delayed earlier due to a legal dispute. “The 2BHK house allocation in Mankhal-I and II was stalled because of a court case. The government and district administration ensured swift resolution to the legal issue, enabling today’s distribution,” he said.
He added that the state was committed to providing well-equipped double-bedroom homes to the genuinely homeless poor. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the government and officials during the event.
District Housing Project Director Naik, RDO K Jagadeeshwar Reddy, KLR, local leaders, and senior officials were present at the function.
