5.7 magnitude earthquake recorded in Tibet, no damage reports yet

Hyderabad: A 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck the Tibet early on Monday morning. The earthquake struck at around 2:40 AM local time, according to the National Centre for Seismology.

Nothing has been officially reported to be damaged or anyone hurt till now. Officials continue to verify the effect, with updates anticipated imminently.

This quake comes after a string of smaller tremors across the region. Just a few days ago, parts of India and Pakistan felt light quakes that didn’t cause any major problems. Before that, a much stronger quake hit Thailand, leaving behind serious damage and loss of life.

All this activity has people talking – there’s definitely been an uptick in earthquakes around Asia lately. But officials haven’t made any direct links between the events just yet.
