₹5 Crore Sanctioned for SLBC Relief Programs

HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has sanctioned ₹5 crore for relief programs at the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) in Nagar Kurnool district. This decision follows the incident that occurred on the 22nd of last month. The Revenue (Disaster Management) Department issued special orders to this effect. After considering the request from the Nagar Kurnool District Collector, the Finance Department recommended the allocation of these funds. The government has directed the Collector to utilize the funds efficiently and expedite the relief efforts.
Several state and national disaster response agencies have been in the SLBC rescue operations for nearly a month. They are facing severe difficulties in their work but the rescue mission continues.
