Inflows continue at Srisailam, Nagarjuna Sagar projects approach full capacity

Hyderabad: Inflows into the Srisailam reservoir remain steady, with 91,812 cusecs arriving from Jurala and Sunkesula projects. Outflow stands at 1,14,709 cusecs. One spillway gate has been opened to release 27,524 cusecs downstream to Nagarjuna Sagar.

Additional discharge includes 20,000 cusecs through the Pothireddypadu head regulator, 35,315 cusecs from the left-bank power house, and 31,870 cusecs from the right-bank power house.

The Srisailam reservoir is currently at 883.80 feet, just below its full reservoir level of 885 feet. Water storage stands at 208.72 TMC against the full capacity of 215.80 TMC.

Downstream, inflows into Nagarjuna Sagar are recorded at 94,709 cusecs. Outflow remains minimal at 4,835 cusecs. The water level at Nagarjuna Sagar is now 572 feet, compared to its full level of 590 feet. Current storage stands at 261 TMC against the total capacity of 312 TMC.
