Hyderabad: A 46-year-old software engineer died by suicide under the Chanda Nagar police station limits on Monday night. The deceased, Srinivasa Rao from Huzurnagar, lived with his wife and two children at Ranki Galaxy Apartments in Nalagandla.
Software engineer’s suicide in Chanda Nagar under police probe
According to police, Srinivasa Rao had been facing family disputes with his wife for several months. Frequent quarrels led both families to hold multiple meetings to settle the matter. However, the tensions continued, leaving him mentally disturbed.
On Monday evening, he jumped from the 14th floor of his apartment and died instantly. Locals alerted the police, who reached the scene and moved the body to Gandhi Hospital for a postmortem.
His mother, Kamalamma, complained, alleging that her daughter-in-law, Jyothi, had harassed her son over property matters. She claimed Jyothi demanded that assets be transferred to her name and barred him from returning home. Kamalamma alleged that the harassment forced her son to take the extreme step.
Chanda Nagar police registered a case and launched an investigation.
