Govt paddy purchase centres will ensure MSP for every farmer, says Minister Jupally

Hyderabad: Excise and Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Tuesday launched a paddy purchase centre run by the Mandal Mahila Federation in a mandal headquarters. He said the Telangana government remains committed to offering Minimum Support Price (MSP) to all farmers.

According to the minister, the government set up these centres to shield farmers from exploitation by middlemen during crop sales. He urged farmers to avoid private traders and sell their produce only at official centres to secure the full MSP.

To empower grassroots women’s organisations, the state handed over management responsibilities of the centres to women’s groups. Jupally appealed to farmers to confidently use these facilities to get the support price they deserve.
