Hyderabad: A Telangana government delegation is working with Saudi Arabian officials to facilitate funeral arrangements for the 45 Indian victims of a recent bus accident. This was stated by Hyderabad MP and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi.
Speaking at the party’s headquarters in Darussalam on Wednesday, Owaisi said a three-member team from Telangana had been sent to Saudi Arabia. Their task is to oversee the procedures. He added that India’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, had personally briefed him. The briefing covered the coordination efforts.
“Dr. Suhel has reached Madina to handle the necessary formalities,” Owaisi stated. He confirmed that the victims’ families were expected to arrive in Madina by Wednesday evening. Officials from the Ministry of External Affairs are also working with Dr. Suhel to ensure smooth arrangements, he noted.
Calling the incident a tragic loss, Owaisi stressed the need for close cooperation between governments to support the bereaved families.
