Hyderabad: Kamareddy district police booked cases against six BRS leaders for obstructing the convoy of Minister Dr. Dhanasari Anasuya Seethakka. This occurred during her official tour on Thursday.
Superintendent of Police Rajesh Chandra confirmed that the incident occurred near Ayodhya Nagar venture in Ramareddy mandal. Minister Seethakka had participated in government programs in the district. She was on her way to Pakal village in Sirikonda mandal to meet Everest climber Malavath Poorna. It was then that the obstruction took place.
BRS workers posed as farmers, say police
According to police, a group of BRS activists allegedly posed as farmers. They rushed in front of the minister’s convoy near Rajarajeswari Kirana store. The unexpected act forced the driver to apply sudden brakes, narrowly avoiding a possible mishap.
Police stated that the disruption appeared intentional and was aimed at interrupting the minister’s movement.
Six persons named in Ramareddy FIR
Following a complaint by the on-duty officer, police registered a case and named the following individuals: Padigala Srinivas of Ramareddy, Nareddy Dasharath Reddy of Posanipet, former sarpanch Kotholla Gangaram of Uppalvai. Also, Baladev Anjaiah, Dyagala Mahipal, and Hanmayalla Rajayya, all from Ramareddy, were named.
The case was filed under relevant sections, and further investigation is underway.
