Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested Bandakindi Parushuramulu, an engineering consultant for the MGNREGS scheme, on Tuesday for accepting a bribe of ₹11,500 in Siddipet district.
The arrest occurred at 2:20 PM at the MPDO office in Maddur Mandal. Officials said Parushuramulu demanded the bribe from a complainant to verify MGNREGS check measurements and forward the files for bill approval.
ACB seizes bribe, files case for misuse of office
The ACB team recovered the full bribe amount from Parushuramulu’s possession. Authorities stated that he misused his official position to secure an undue advantage.
They placed him under arrest and will present him before the Additional Special Judge for ACB Cases in Nampally, Hyderabad. The investigation continues.
