Hyderabad: A complaint has been filed with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) against BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, and former minister K T Rama Rao, alleging large-scale irregularities in the Outer Ring Road (ORR) toll lease and the Kitex garments project.
BC Political JAC state chairman R Yugandhar Goud met the ACB Director General at Banjara Hills on Friday and submitted the complaint, demanding a probe and registration of cases against the two former leaders and other BRS functionaries.
Addressing the media later, Goud alleged that IRB Infrastructure, which secured the 30-year toll lease for ORR, and Kitex Garments, both donated large sums to the BRS party through electoral bonds. He claimed the process was influenced by quid pro quo arrangements involving misuse of power by the then Chief Minister and Minister through state mechanisms.
According to Goud, the toll lease awarded to IRB Infra involved irregularities amounting to ₹7,380 crore. He alleged that IRB Infra purchased ₹25 crore worth of electoral bonds in July 2023, which were later encashed by BRS within a week.
He also said that similar irregularities were involved in the allotment of land and permissions to Kitex Garments for setting up its manufacturing unit in Telangana.
