Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) intensified its crackdown on corrupt officials, registering 22 cases in July alone.
Of these, 13 involved bribery, one exposed disproportionate assets, and another concerned criminal misconduct. In the bribery cases, officials were caught with ₹5.75 lakh in cash.
The disproportionate assets case unearthed illegal property worth ₹11.5 crore. ACB teams also raided RTA checkposts and sub-registrar offices, seizing ₹1.49 lakh in unaccounted cash.
From January to July, ACB booked a total of 148 cases, leading to the arrest of 145 government and outsourced employees. Across all bribery cases this year, authorities recovered ₹30.32 lakh.
In July alone, investigation reports were filed in 21 of the registered cases.
