Hyderabad: ACB teams raided the Nalgonda DSO office on Monday and caught Miryalaguda Civil Supply Deputy Tahsildar Shaik Javeed red‑handed accepting a ₹70,000 bribe.
DSP Jagadishchandra of Nalgonda ACB said this forms part of a broader anti-corruption drive across Nalgonda and Suryapet districts. Multiple officials have been apprehended recently for accepting bribes.
In one incident at Huzurnagar tahsildar’s office in Suryapet, a revenue data‑entry operator was arrested while taking ₹12,000. That case involved processing inherited land for Karrakayal Gudem resident Thota Rambabu, who owns 12 acres. The data entry operator, Karnati Vijeta Reddy, demanded ₹20,000 but agreed to ₹12,000. He was caught in possession of the cash after the ACB intervention. Vijeta Reddy will be produced in the Nampally ACB court, according to the DSP.
