Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau has issued a notice to BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao in connection with the Formula E case, summoning him for questioning on May 28.
Rama Rao, popularly known as KTR, took to social media to disclose the development, confirming that he had received the notice and asserting his commitment to cooperate with the investigation despite what he called a politically motivated case.
In his post, the BRS leader said he had already informed ACB officials in writing that he would be out of the country on a pre-planned tour to the UK and the US. He assured that he would appear before the agency upon his return.
KTR also used the opportunity to take a dig at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of being driven by political vendetta. He sarcastically ‘congratulated’ Reddy for what he described as relentless efforts to pursue personal grudges.
The former IT Minister linked the timing of the notice to recent political developments, pointing out that just two days ago, CM Revanth Reddy was named in an ED chargesheet related to the National Herald case, and within 24 hours of that, he had met with Prime Minister Modi and other BJP leaders. “Today, I get an ACB notice,” he remarked, suggesting a coordinated political ploy.
He also criticised the BJP for its silence on Revanth Reddy’s alleged involvement in money laundering, questioning their double standards. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), KTR lambasted the Congress CM, calling him an outright failure as both a leader and administrator.
The ACB has given me a notice to appear for an enquiry on the 28th of May in the Formula E case
As a law abiding citizen, will definitely cooperate with the agencies even though the case is nothing but pure political harassment
As I have planned to leave for the UK & USA for…
