Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has submitted its final report to the government in the high-profile Formula E car race case. This marks a key development in the ongoing investigation.
The report was handed over on Monday after nearly nine months of inquiry. ACB also sent a formal request to the Governor, seeking permission to prosecute the accused.
According to official sources, ACB named former minister K.T. Rama Rao as Accused No. 1 (A1). Senior IAS officer Arvind Kumar has been listed as Accused No. 2 (A2), and former HMDA engineer B.L.N. Reddy as Accused No. 3 (A3). Two more individuals are listed as A4 and A5.
Formula E case: KTR named A1 in ACB’s chargesheet request
Once the Governor grants approval, ACB will move ahead with filing the chargesheet against all five. The case involves alleged irregularities in the planning and execution of the international Formula E event.
The government is expected to forward the report to Raj Bhavan soon. Governor’s consent will clear the way for formal prosecution in one of Telangana’s most politically charged corruption cases.
