Hyderabad: Three separate accidents in Telangana and Bihar left one woman dead and several others injured over the weekend and on Monday.
Car overturns in Undavelli
Two persons were injured when a car overturned on National Highway 44 near Undavelli mandal on Monday. According to 108 ambulance staff, SBI employee Hari was travelling with his family from Kadapa to Shadnagar when a tyre burst near Undavelli stage. The car overturned and landed off the road. Hari sustained injuries, while his wife Shivani suffered a shoulder fracture. Their child and Hari’s mother Bhagyamma escaped unhurt. The injured were shifted to Kurnool Government Hospital for treatment, said EMT Radha Mohan and pilot Naresh.
Fatal collision in Erravalli
A pedestrian was killed in a road accident near Vemula stage in Erravalli mandal of Jogulamba Gadwal district on Sunday. Police said a speeding Bolero (AP39TX4609), driven by Manjunath and travelling from Hyderabad to Kurnool, hit an unidentified man crossing the highway. Another car then collided with the Bolero from behind. Occupants of the car escaped safely. The victim, aged around 35, died before reaching Gadwal Government Hospital. He was wearing a yellow shirt with black-and-white striped trousers. Police appealed for information to identify the deceased, whose body is kept in the Gadwal Government Hospital mortuary. A case was registered based on a complaint from Vemula panchayat secretary Rajeswari, said Kodadapur SI K. Murali.
Bhainsa woman dies in Patna
In a separate incident, a woman from Bhainsa died of a heart attack during a pilgrimage trip in Bihar. Bachhuvar Sangita (40) had joined a 25-member group on a tour to Nepal. On their return journey, she suffered a cardiac arrest in Patna on Monday morning. Doctors declared her dead at hospital. Her body is expected to reach Bhainsa on Tuesday.
