Hyderabad: The Agrawal Samaj Telangana on Sunday concluded its first emergency special general meeting at the society’s banquet hall in Paradise, with a series of key resolutions passed unanimously by voice vote. The meeting began with the ceremonial worship of Maharaja Agrasen and was presided over by society president Anirudh Gupta.
Gupta introduced five newly designated advisors – Dr. Anjani Kumar Agarwal, Dr. Chandrakant Dakotia, Harish Gupta, Badri Vishal Bansal, and Vinod Agarwal – three of whom were felicitated on the occasion. Stage proceedings were anchored by Co-Minister Dr. Seema Aggarwal, who also presented and secured approval for the minutes of the last meeting.
The meeting addressed core issues, including a push for expanding membership, approval of a proposal to distribute privilege cards to employees of member-owned businesses, and a major revision of membership fees. The Central Committee approved a reduction from ₹350 for one year to ₹21 for two years, with the right to revise fees retained by the committee.
A proposal to grant voting rights to outgoing central and branch presidents in community elections was also adopted. Discussions were held on the planned launch of the Agrawal Samaj Telangana website to streamline operations and outreach.
Dignitaries on stage included President Anirudh Gupta, Vice President Rupesh Kumar Agarwal, Co-Secretary Dr. Seema Jain, Treasurer Achal Gupta, and advisors Dr. Anjani Kumar Agarwal, Dr. Chandrakant Dakotiya, and Harish Gupta.
The meeting was attended by a large number of office bearers and central committee members from across the state, reflecting growing engagement within the organisation.
