HYDERABAD, February 7: Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao inaugurated the “Kisan Agri Show and Three-Day Workshop on Innovative Technologies in Horticulture Crop Production and Value Addition” in collaboration with the state horticulture department, Telangana Horticulture Officers Association, and Kisan Team.
Speaking at the event on Friday, the minister highlighted the importance of such agri shows in introducing modern technologies to farmers. He stated that the Telangana government is actively promoting horticulture crop expansion and self-sufficiency, with a vision to enhance exports. Farmers will be encouraged to adopt village-level food processing techniques to add value to their produce.
The minister urged agriculture and horticulture officials to coordinate efforts to uplift the farming community and ensure economic self-reliance. He also appreciated the Telangana Horticulture Officers Association for organising the event.
The programme was attended by Agriculture Secretary Raghunandan Rao, Telangana Horticulture University Vice-Chancellor Dr Danda Raji Reddy, Agriculture Director Gopi, Additional Director of Horticulture Sarojini, Joint Director Babu, Telangana Horticulture Officers Association President Chakrapani, Vice President Saibaba, Secretary Narsaiah, Ranga Reddy District Horticulture Officer Suresh, and Officer Kamala, among others.
