AICTE extends the deadline for B.Tech. classes after a delay in approvals
In BTech Biotechnology courses, half of the seats are reserved for MPC students and the remaining for BiPC students. So far, only MPC candidates have been allotted seats in EAPCET counselling. Approvals for BPharmacy colleges from the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) are still pending. Once permissions are granted, Biotechnology and BPharmacy seats are expected to be filled together. Consequently, many colleges said they would notify Biotechnology students of their class commencement dates later.
Meanwhile, internal sliding for first-year BTech students who wish to change their branch will take place on August 18 and 19. Web option entry for branch changes will also be available on these dates. EAPCET Admissions Committee Convener Sridivasena confirmed that students who shift branches would remain eligible for fee reimbursement. Seat allotments under the internal sliding process would be completed by August 22, he added.
