Alka Lamba criticized BRS and BJP for neglecting women’s welfare in Telangana, asserting that the Congress is committed to real empowerment and delivering on its promises.
HYDERABAD: National Women’s Congress President Alka Lamba has launched a sharp attack on both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), accusing them of failing to uphold women’s welfare in Telangana. She claimed that both parties misled the public with empty promises while the Congress is actively working toward women’s empowerment.
Speaking at a press conference, Alka Lamba asserted that under Congress leadership, significant policies for women’s welfare are being implemented effectively. She emphasized that the party is committed to ensuring better opportunities, security, and financial independence for women.
Lamba criticized the previous BRS government for neglecting crucial issues such as women’s safety, employment, and economic growth. She alleged that despite being in power, the BRS failed to take meaningful steps to improve women’s lives in the state.
She also accused the BJP of attempting to create political instability in Telangana instead of focusing on real development. “The people of Telangana, especially women, now trust the Congress because we are delivering on our commitments,” she stated.
With elections approaching, Lamba’s remarks have intensified the ongoing political discourse, adding to the growing tensions between the major parties in Telangana.
