Hyderabad: Asad Anwar Memorial Trust organised an annadanam programme at MNJ Cancer Hospital on Tuesday. Food was served to patients and their attendants. The initiative was led by Dr S M Hussaini (Mujeeb), General Secretary of Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers Central Union and Chairman of the Trust.
Weekly food service in memory of parents
Dr Mujeeb said the Trust conducts this service every week in memory of his parents, Asaduddin and Anwarunnisa. He explained, “Social service gives me joy and peace of mind. Helping the needy is everyone’s duty. When I see the happiness in their eyes after receiving food, I feel truly blessed.” He pledged to continue the programme with the same spirit.
Several leaders joined the service. Hyderabad district secretary Kurradi Srinivas, associate president K R Raj Kumar, and executive committee member Sridhar attended. Yadadri district secretary Khadar and MNJ Hospital secretary Chandrasekhar also participated. Union member Shiva, ESI Hospital associate president Raj Kumar, ENT Hospital president Raju, Mohammed Mustafa, Sofiyan and others were present. Leaders at the event praised Dr Mujeeb for continuing this welfare initiative.
