Hyderabad: Balanagar Police arrested a 24-year-old man within hours of a murder reported near Gudenmet X Road on November 3, solving the case swiftly under the Medchal Zone.
The victim, Mohammed Gafoor (39), a chef from Vattepally, was found dead with multiple stab wounds. Police investigation revealed that the accused, Sidhapuram Ajay of Balanagar, had attacked Gafoor with a fruit-cutting knife following a heated argument over a minor issue.
Ajay was taken into custody the same day. Police recovered the weapon used in the crime. According to ACP P. Naresh Reddy, the case was cracked promptly under the supervision of DCP Koti Reddy. The investigation team will receive a commendation for their swift response.
