Hyderabad: BRS state leader RS Praveen Kumar appealed to former Achampet MLA Guvvala Balaraju to reconsider his resignation from the party, calling the decision regrettable and urging him to reflect again.
In a Twitter post, Praveen acknowledged the resignation as Balaraju’s personal choice but asked him not to fall for what he termed the “false propaganda” of the Congress-BJP alliance.
He said Telangana was facing a moment when people disillusioned by Congress policies were longing for the return of KCR’s leadership. At such a time, he said, Balaraju could have stood as a voice for his constituency and strengthened the resistance against political regression.
Praveen added that people of Achampet should not feel disheartened by Balaraju’s exit. He asserted that BRS would continue to lead from the front against what he described as exploitative, communal, and feudal forces plotting to reverse Telangana’s gains.
He said BRS was the only party with cadre capable of protecting the state’s future, sworn to the cause before the spirits of Telangana’s martyrs. He reiterated his belief that KCR would return as the next Chief Minister.
