Telangana Breaking News: During the BJP’s Foundation Day celebrations in Karimnagar, Telangana, Union Minister Bandi Sanjay referred to the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) as a ‘traitorous party’ in the context of the upcoming Legislative Council elections.
HYDERABAD: At the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Foundation Day event held in Karimnagar, Telangana, Union Minister Bandi Sanjay made a controversial statement, labeling the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) as a ‘traitorous party’. He posed a question to the electorate, asking whether they would support AIMIM or the BJP, which he described as a party committed to patriotism and Sanatan Dharma.
Sanjay alleged that both the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Congress Party are collaborating to ensure AIMIM’s victory in the Legislative Council elections. He claimed that these parties are effectively surrendering the state’s interests to AIMIM by not fielding their own candidates in the contest.
Furthermore, Sanjay accused the Congress Party of protecting BRS from legal repercussions, particularly in the context of the phone-tapping case. He pointed out that, except for the primary accused, others involved have been granted bail, insinuating political interference.
Highlighting the BJP’s contributions, Sanjay emphasized that the party is responsible for providing free rice to Telangana residents. He criticized the state government for allegedly failing to implement various central welfare schemes effectively. Sanjay also accused the Congress-led state administration of corruption and inefficiency, asserting that it lacks control over governance and is functioning as a ‘rubber stamp’ government.
These remarks have sparked significant political discourse in Telangana, reflecting the intensifying rivalries as the Legislative Council elections approach.
