Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar said the Centre’s commitment to Telangana’s progress is evident in the large-scale road and railway projects underway. Hitting out at Congress and BRS leaders for what he called baseless allegations, he said they should stop criticising and start cooperating with development efforts.
Speaking to media after reviewing the modernisation work at Karimnagar Railway Station, Bandi Sanjay said the Centre has already spent ₹1.5 lakh crore on national highways and ₹33,000 crore on railway development in the state.
“We’re ready to release a white paper detailing the funds and projects undertaken in Telangana,” he said. “The state government, however, continues to act as an obstacle by not cooperating fully with the Centre.”
He expressed deep anguish over the recent Gulzar Houz fire incident in Hyderabad, calling it a heart-wrenching tragedy. “It’s not enough to announce compensation if someone survives or express condolences when they die. We need preventive action,” he said.
Bandi urged all parties to focus on development rather than politicking over false claims.
