Hyderabad: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay has informed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that he will not be able to appear for questioning in the phone tapping case on July 24, citing ongoing monsoon session duties in Parliament.
SIT had issued notices to Bandi Sanjay summoning him as a witness to depose in the phone surveillance investigation. He has now proposed to attend on July 28 instead.
SIT has intensified its probe, recording statements from both accused and complainants. Among those who have deposed so far are TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, MLC Teenmar Mallanna, and Fahim Qureshi.
Bandi Sanjay has previously alleged that his phone was tapped during the BRS regime. His statement is being sought as part of the broader investigation into illegal surveillance practices.
