HYDERABAD, February 8: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar has lauded the party’s performance in the Delhi Assembly elections, stating that voters have decisively rejected the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He claimed that Delhi citizens had “swept AAP away with a broom” in response to corruption allegations and the party’s governance failures.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, Bandi Sanjay asserted that the results were expected. “We had already predicted that the saffron flag would fly high in Delhi. The people have chosen democracy and transparent governance over scams and ‘jail parties’,” he remarked, referring to corruption allegations against AAP leaders.
He further stated that the political shift in Delhi is a strong indication of public sentiment and predicted a similar trend in Telangana. “Just as Delhi has embraced change, Telangana will also see the BJP come to power. People are fed up with corruption and misgovernance,” he said.
With the BJP securing a significant lead in Delhi, the party is celebrating its success, viewing it as a crucial momentum builder ahead of upcoming elections in other states. Meanwhile, Bandi Sanjay reiterated that the BJP remains committed to its principles of clean governance and democratic values.
