Union Minister Bandi Sanjay has alleged that the Congress is offering ₹7,000 per vote in the upcoming Telangana MLC elections. He also criticised the government over the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) and unfulfilled job promises.
HYDERABAD: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay has made serious allegations against the Congress party, claiming that it is offering ₹7,000 per vote in the upcoming Telangana Legislative Council (MLC) elections. Speaking to the media in Karimnagar on Saturday, Sanjay accused the Congress of using financial inducements to secure votes, stating that the party lacks genuine support among teachers and graduates.
Sanjay further criticised the Congress government for implementing the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) as a means to generate funds. He alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was overseeing the collection of LRS fees, contradicting his earlier promise of free land regularisation.
Highlighting unfulfilled electoral promises, Sanjay demanded that the Congress clarify when and where it has provided the jobs it pledged. He pointed out that, despite assurances to create two lakh jobs, only a few notifications have been issued, with no actual appointments made so far.
Call for Voter Vigilance
Reiterating his commitment to public service, Sanjay asserted that his focus remains on fighting for people’s rights rather than seeking ministerial positions. He urged voters to remain vigilant and not be influenced by monetary offers, emphasising the long-term impact of their choices in the MLC elections.
