HYDERABAD: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has addressed recent remarks made by Goshamahal BJP MLA, T. Raja Singh, concerning the party’s leadership selection process. Raja Singh had expressed dissatisfaction over the appointment of the Golconda unit president, suggesting that his nominee was overlooked, which led him to contemplate resignation from the party.
In response, Bandi Sanjay emphasized that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) operates under a set of established guidelines and cannot alter its rules to accommodate individual preferences. He acknowledged that even his own recommendations had not always been accepted by the party’s central leadership, underscoring the importance of adhering to the organization’s procedures.
Bandi Sanjay described Raja Singh as a dedicated and hardworking member of the Telangana BJP. However, he advised that internal matters should be addressed within the party framework rather than through public channels. He cautioned against escalating minor internal issues into public disputes, suggesting that such actions could be detrimental to the party’s cohesion.
This exchange highlights the challenges political parties face in balancing individual aspirations with collective decision-making processes. It also reflects the BJP’s commitment to maintaining organizational discipline and unity in its leadership selections.
