Hyderabad: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay on Monday accused the Congress of mocking Hindu faith after Telangana Congress president Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that “bogus votes” had helped the BJP win eight Lok Sabha seats in the state. In a post on X, Sanjay said, “Today Telangana Congress shamelessly treats Lord Rama as if he were a BJP member. What more can one expect from a party that once denied God’s very existence?”
The BJP leader recalled that in 2007 the Congress-led UPA government had told the Supreme Court during the Ram Sethu case that “Rama does not exist, Ramayana does not exist.” He said the Congress had locked the doors of the Ram temple for decades, while the BJP government had opened them.

Sanjay further alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had branded Hindus as “violent” and claimed the temple movement was defeated. He also pointed out that the Congress party had refused to attend the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya earlier this year. “Mocking people’s faith is in Congress’s DNA, while Lord Rama is in Bharat’s DNA,” Sanjay said, adding that the BJP would continue to honour Rama.
The remarks came after Telangana Congress chief Mahesh Kumar Goud on Sunday alleged that the BJP’s victories in eight constituencies were secured through bogus votes. He specifically claimed that Sanjay himself would not have won without such votes. Goud also charged that the BJP invokes Lord Rama’s name only during elections to seek votes.
“No Ram, No Ramayana” – that’s what the Congress Govt once told the Supreme Court.
Today, Telangana Congress shamelessly mocks that BJP treats Lord Ram like a party member. What else can we expect from a party and its mindless leaders who deny God’s very existence?
