Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay has pushed the Centre to establish a Sainik School in Telangana’s Husnabad or Rajanna Sircilla districts, both falling under the Karimnagar parliamentary segment.
In a post on X, Sanjay revealed he met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on the 15th of last month to formally submit the proposal. Singh, according to Sanjay, responded positively advising that the state government must apply through the official central portal for the request to move forward.
Sanjay stressed that the issue shouldn’t be politicised. “Regardless of political differences,” he said, “state interest should unite all.” He hit out at the previous BRS-led government, accusing it of obstructing development by not cooperating with the Centre.
He urged the current state government to coordinate with Delhi, claiming such collaboration was essential to accelerate Telangana’s progress.
