Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma on Thursday declared that the Bathukamma festival stands as a symbol of Telangana culture. He released the poster for the upcoming Bathukamma celebrations organised by Samskar Bharati Telangana.
The Governor urged people to celebrate the festival in unity and harmony. He said society carries the duty of preserving traditions and passing them on to future generations. He appealed to citizens across the state to ensure that the festival becomes a success.

Samskar Bharati leaders said they had prepared all arrangements to hold the celebrations grandly. They explained that the festival highlights Telangana’s cultural identity and deserves wide participation.
Dr K.K.V. Sharma, Working President of Samskar Bharati Telangana, joined the Governor along with state secretary Bhavani, Matrushakti state convener Sushma, and co-convener Shalini. They met him to extend support for the programme and briefed him on the preparations.
