Hyderabad: Telangana tourism officials postponed the World Guinness Book record Bathukamma event to September 29 and shifted it to Saroor Nagar Stadium. Organisers had earlier planned the programme for LB Stadium on September 28.
Bathukamma event moved due to rainfall forecast
Tourism officials said they changed the venue after the meteorological department predicted heavy rainfall in Hyderabad. They confirmed that Saroor Nagar Stadium would host the event instead.
The department announced that the grand Bathukamma celebrations will take place on Friday evening. They expect thousands of women to attend and attempt the world record.
