Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will inaugurate Bathukamma Kunta at Amberpet on September 28, instead of September 26, after rain forecasts forced a reschedule.
HYDRAA (Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency) revived the lake with ₹7.4 crore after years of encroachment and neglect.

Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath announced the new date. They confirmed the ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Officials explained that Bathukamma Kunta had shrunk under encroachment and lost its identity. HYDRAA restored the water body to its original shape and added new facilities. The revived lake will now serve as both a cultural landmark and an ecological resource for Hyderabad.
