Hyderabad: The Harrisburg Telugu Association in Pennsylvania organised grand Bathukamma celebrations in Mechanicsburg, drawing members of the Telugu diaspora and public representatives.
Bhuvanagiri MP Chamakura Kiran Kumar Reddy attended the event as a guest and participated in the festivities. Addressing the gathering, he praised the Telugu community for preserving cultural values despite being thousands of miles away from home.

He said the diaspora had shown unity and pride in heritage, and called for a dedicated platform to address issues faced by overseas Telugus in their native places. Reddy assured the audience that he would work with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to develop such a bridge between the state and its global community.
The MP thanked the Harrisburg Telugu Association for the invitation and later joined members for a community dinner and informal discussions.
Association president Kakarla Srinivas, secretary Muni Kumar Gilla, and members Vibeeshan Reddy, Vennam Sri Ram Reddy, Chandra Sandadi, and Katla Raju were among the organisers present.
