Hyderabad: BRS MLC and Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha flagged off BC awareness rathams headed to district centres across Telangana, mobilising support for her upcoming 72-hour hunger strike demanding 42% reservations for backward classes.
The protest, scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on August 4 and continue until August 7 morning, will be held at Dharna Chowk, Indira Park. Kavitha is leading the agitation to push for proportional BC quotas in education, employment, and local body elections.
The BC Chaitanya Rathams will travel through districts to raise awareness and gather public backing for the reservation demand.
