HYDERABAD: In a significant development in the ongoing betting apps promotion case, Telangana police have identified several betting applications endorsed by prominent film actors. The case has garnered considerable attention, with authorities intensifying their investigation into the promotion of these apps, which have adversely affected numerous youths.
According to reports, the Miyapur police have registered cases against multiple betting app companies. Notably, the apps promoted by various celebrities have been identified:
• Junglee Rummy App: Endorsed by actors Rana Daggubati and Prakash Raj.
• A23 App: Promoted by Vijay Deverakonda.
• Yolo 247 App: Endorsed by Manchu Lakshmi.
• Fairplay Live: Promoted by actress Pranitha.
• JeetWin App: Endorsed by Nidhi Agarwal.
• Andhra 365 App: Promoted by Shyamala.
Additionally, influencers such as Harsha Sai, Vishnu Priya, Reethu Chowdary, Tasty Teja, and Baiah Sunny have been identified for promoting various betting apps.
Recently, the Miyapur police have registered cases against 19 betting app owners and are expected to summon them for questioning. Earlier, the Panjagutta police had filed cases against 11 YouTubers, social media influencers, and television actors. Furthermore, celebrities like Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, Manchu Lakshmi, Pranitha, Neha Sharma, and Prakash Raj have also been named in the case. Prominent cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan are among those against whom cases have been registered for promoting betting apps, following a complaint by an individual named Arjun Goud.
