HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court has issued notices to the Saifabad police and the public prosecutor in response to a petition filed by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, seeking to quash a criminal case registered against them.
The case, which dates back to 2023, was filed at the Saifabad Police Station following a protest led by Congress leaders at the Telugu Talli flyover. The demonstration was held to oppose the central government’s hike in fuel prices. Alongside Bhatti Vikramarka and Uttam Kumar Reddy, several others were also named in the FIR by Saifabad police.
The High Court, after issuing notices, adjourned further hearing on the matter to the 30th of this month.
