HYDERABAD: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu inaugurated a large-scale job fair in the Madhira constituency, emphasising the Telangana government’s renewed commitment to employment generation.
Speaking at the event, Bhatti stated that although Telangana was achieved through a collective struggle, only a few people had secured jobs in the new state. He remarked that over the past ten years, both unemployed youth and government employees had failed to achieve the desired outcomes.
The Deputy Chief Minister laid out a three-tier employment strategy under the public government framework.
The first level, he said, would involve direct government recruitment. The second would focus on attracting investments from multinational companies to create large-scale employment for the state’s youth. The third tier, in addition to regular government recruitment, would include programmes like Rajiv Yuva Vikasam and job fairs.
He announced that a new Knowledge City would soon be established in Hyderabad to generate employment for five lakh young people.
Highlighting the immediate impact of the event, Bhatti said that the Madhira job fair alone had created employment opportunities for 5,000 individuals in a single day.
He encouraged the youth to utilise state resources for their development and contribute meaningfully to the state’s future, GDP growth, their families, and society at large.
He urged the young people to keep away from intoxicants and anti-social elements, stating that every positive thought leads to good results. He advised them to ensure that their choices do not cause pain to their parents in the end.
