Hyderabad: Police in Bhopal have arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly killing his live-in partner and remaining in the same house with her body for two days.
Sachin Rajput, unemployed and living with 29-year-old Ritika Sen for the last four years, suspected her of being involved with other men. On June 27, during an argument, he strangled her to death, police said.
After the killing, Rajput wrapped the body in a blanket. He then consumed liquor and continued to sleep next to the corpse for two days, according to investigators.
On June 29, Rajput, in an intoxicated state, reportedly disclosed the murder to a friend named Anuj. Anuj informed the police, who recovered Sen’s body from the residence and arrested Rajput.
