Hyderabad: BJP floor leader Eatala Maheshwar Reddy on Friday accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of deceiving the public with 420 false promises and six unfulfilled guarantees while failing to act on corruption or flood relief.
Addressing reporters, Maheshwar Reddy said the Congress government had not initiated action against a single corrupt official in its two-year tenure. He also criticised the state for not ordering a CBI probe into alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project, despite repeated demands.
He alleged that the government was staging distractions to deflect attention from pressing public issues.
BJP says Centre acted swiftly while state failed on ground relief
The BJP leader highlighted that recent rains and flooding had destroyed thousands of acres of crops and damaged hundreds of homes across Adilabad, Nizamabad, and Karimnagar districts. He said the state government had failed to provide any meaningful assistance to the affected families.
In contrast, he noted that the central government had immediately deployed helicopters and NDRF teams to the affected regions. He added that BJP leaders would visit the flood-hit areas to monitor relief operations directly.
