Hyderabad: BJP Telangana President N Ramchandra Rao on Monday demanded that the state government immediately release the pending retirement benefits of former Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nalini, citing her deteriorating health and prolonged mental distress.
Rao visited Nalini at her residence, where he inquired about her condition and assured her of the party’s support. He was accompanied by MLC Anji Reddy, BJP State Vice President Dr Boora Narsayya Goud, senior leader Gudur Narayana Reddy, Yadadri district president Ashok Goud, and State General Secretary Vemula Ashok.
Speaking to the media, Rao said Nalini had served in the police force during the Telangana movement but voluntarily resigned while supporting the cause under the slogan “Jai Telangana.” He noted that despite her resignation, the department later suspended her and failed to clear her dues.
He accused both the previous BRS government and the current Congress-led administration of neglecting Nalini’s case. Despite submitting a detailed 16-page report and receiving verbal assurances from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, her retirement benefits remain withheld.
“Nalini has endured severe mental stress due to the government’s inaction,” Rao said. “Her health is worsening. She has pledged to use her pending dues for public service. The government must act now and end her suffering.”
Rao added that if Nalini requested a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party would help facilitate it following proper protocol.
