Hyderabad: Telangana BJP leaders expressed grief over the death of Nagaland Governor La Ganesan, who passed away after a prolonged illness. State BJP president N Ramchander Rao and former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya remembered his lifelong service to the party and nation.
In a condolence message, Ramchander Rao said Ganesan had played significant roles in the BJP, serving as Rajya Sabha MP, Tamil Nadu party president, and as party in-charge for united Andhra Pradesh. He also contributed to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and devoted his entire life to public service.
Dattatreya recalls Ganesan’s soft-spoken nature and nationalist legacy
Former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya said he was deeply shocked by the passing of Ganesan, describing him as a soft-spoken and committed leader. He praised Ganesan’s parliamentary work and organisational leadership, especially his efforts in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
“La Ganesan gave up everything for public life,” Dattatreya said. “He worked with all communities to promote nationalism and Indian values.” He also noted Ganesan’s role as BJP’s All India Secretary and said his death was a significant loss to nationalist organisations and Tamil Nadu politics.
Both leaders extended heartfelt condolences to Ganesan’s family.
