BJP MP Raghunandan Rao questions Revanth over KTR arrest delay

Hyderabad: BJP MP Raghunandan Rao on Wednesday accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of politicising the issue of arresting BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao. He questioned why the Chief Minister sought the Governor’s permission.

Speaking at the BJP state office in Nampally, Rao asked, “Where is the need for Governor’s approval to arrest an MLA? MLAs have been arrested before. Even Revanth Reddy was arrested twice during the BRS regime. Did KCR seek the Governor’s nod then?”

Rao: Congress stalling action in Formula E scam

The BJP MP said the Congress government is buying time instead of taking action against KCR’s family in the Formula E race scam. He alleged that the state ignored key findings from the NDSA and PC Ghosh Commission reports.

Although a CBI probe was ordered, Rao claimed the government failed to file a counter affidavit in the High Court. This failure resulted in a stay on investigations involving KCR, Harish Rao, and senior IAS officers.

BJP MP slams Congress-AIMIM ties, questions Azharuddin’s quota

Turning to the Jubilee Hills by-election, Rao accused the Congress of indulging in vote-bank politics by aligning with the AIMIM. He questioned whether Minister Mohammad Azharuddin was appointed under the BC quota or the minority quota.

Calling Congress and BRS “conjoined twins,” Rao alleged that Revanth Reddy lacks sincerity in addressing both corruption and Backward Classes reservations.
