Hyderabad: Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao on Tuesday demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible for the death of party worker Eata Madhukar, who allegedly died by suicide after harassment by Congress leaders and local police in Neelwai village, Vemanapally mandal, Mancherial district.
Rao, accompanied by senior BJP leaders, travelled to Mancherial by train and met Madhukar’s family to convey his condolences. Describing the incident as “a tragic loss to the party,” he said the deceased had worked selflessly for the organisation and had been driven to despair by intimidation and false cases.
He alleged that despite the accused being named in the FIR, the police had not taken any action. Rao demanded the suspension of officers accused of threatening Madhukar’s family at the behest of Congress leaders.

Condemning what he termed the Congress government’s misuse of power, Rao urged party workers not to resort to extreme steps. He assured them that the BJP would stand firmly beside every worker facing harassment.
The BJP state chief also announced that a delegation would meet the Ramagundam Police Commissioner to file a formal complaint, demanding swift arrests. “The culprits, regardless of influence, must face strict legal action,” he asserted.
BJP State Official Spokesperson N.V. Subhash and leader Bharat accompanied Rao during the visit.
