Hyderabad: The Telangana BJP on Sunday called on young people to unite in building a drug-free India. The party also encouraged them to take a firm pledge against drug use.
This appeal came during the “3K Modi Yuva Run,” an event organised under the Seva Pakhwada initiative. More than 5,000 students, youth, and residents joined the run. All participants wore white T-shirts as they ran from the Dr B R Ambedkar statue near the Secretariat to Necklace Road.
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy addressed the crowd and described drug abuse as a major threat to national progress. Furthermore, he urged the youth to take the lead in ending addiction and building a healthier society.

Hence, he stressed the need to protect them from the dangers of addiction. He further alleged that international forces are plotting to weaken the nation’s youth. Moreover, he reminded attendees that India has the youngest population in the world.
