Hyderabad: Chaos broke out at Shamshabad airport on Thursday after an anonymous email claimed a bomb had been planted inside the premises – sending security teams into a full-blown scramble.
The mail hit airport systems without warning. One line: there’s a bomb in the building. That was enough.
Within minutes, security personnel ramped up to high alert. Search teams combed every inch of the terminal, from baggage belts to washrooms. Nothing was spared. Flights stayed on hold, tension built up – and passengers had no clue what was going on.
Eventually, the all-clear came. False alarm. No explosives found. Just a hoax.
Still, the scare was enough to jolt both staff and flyers. Relief only came once the sweep was done.
