Hyderabad: A sensational theft at the State Bank of India (SBI) branch in Bodhan, Nizamabad district shocked police after CCTV footage revealed that a boy stole Rs 5 lakh directly from a cash counter.
Police said the theft occurred on September 8. The branch cashier lodged a complaint after noticing Rs 5 lakh missing. Police examined CCTV footage and noticed two men acting suspiciously inside the bank. They also saw a boy swiftly approach the counter and steal the cash.

Investigators believe adults may have guided the boy in carrying out the theft. They launched a search to identify the two men seen with him. Officials confirmed that police teams are analysing footage to track the suspects.
Bodhan town CI stated that the department is probing the case from all angles. He assured that the police will arrest the culprits soon and present them in court.
The incident, which took place in broad daylight, has triggered wide discussion in Bodhan. Residents expressed shock that such a large sum could be stolen from a bank counter in this manner.
