HYDERABAD: In the backdrop of BRS’s Rajatotsavam celebrations, flex banners installed across Hyderabad were removed overnight. In Kukatpally and KPHB, MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao had arranged for banners commemorating the BRS Rajatotsavam. However, the HYDRAA authorities dismantled these banners by Friday night, tearing down the posters as well.
A similar situation was witnessed in Patancheru town of Sangareddy district, where DRF personnel removed BRS flex banners. This action drew strong condemnation from BRS workers, who staged a protest in front of the HYDRA officials.
Expressing his displeasure, Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao termed the overnight removal of BRS banners as outrageous. He questioned why Congress and BJP banners, which had been displayed for months, were overlooked by the authorities. He lashed out, asking whether banners should be removed even before the Rajatotsavam event took place. He accused government officials of working for the Congress party instead of serving the public and warned that once the BRS government is re-established, all dues would be collected with interest.
